Printed Textures: Exploration in Collagraph Printmaking

with Edward Steffanni

Collagraph is one of the most accessible and affordable forms of printmaking. Printing plates can be created by gluing textured objects such as fabric, leaves, or painting directly onto cardboard. After the ink is applied to the plate, it is run through an Intaglio printing press, resulting in a print. Students will experiment with creating their collagraph plates, learning to handprint their images, and experimenting with different inking techniques to vary their plates. This session is best suited for students 15+ years old.
