Have you taken several classes with the ACA or other clay facilities and want time to practice learned skills on your own? This is your chance to obtain studio time without a teacher or apredetermined project. The first class will review studio rules and practices for about 15minutes- then your time is your own!

6 weeks for 3 hours each week

Open Studio Hours in the Print Studio

Artists are expected to work in a medium they have prior experience with. Open studio hours are not intended as time to learn a new medium/form of printmaking but as time to practice and experiment with something already experienced..The studio monitor may not be familiar with all media/techniques/pieces of equipment and is there to assist in finding materials, monitoring safe practices and effective clean-up, and the like. Artists attending open studio may make reasonable use of supplied inks and adhesives/mediums and use up to one full sheet of good printmaking paper (approx. 22" x 30") per session. (Additional paper will be provided for proofing.) Additional sheets of printmaking paper may be purchased at $5/sheet. Other materials are the responsibility of the artist attending open studio. Please bring correct cash or checks (no change will be available nor will credit/debit cards be acceptable.)

Wednesday, June 4th 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. 

 

Please note this studio is in a historic building with stairs.

Engraved Pictures in Glass Linda Jacobs

Meets 2 Thursdays, June 5, 12, from 10am til 12 pm.

Learn to use an electric engraving tool to draw on glass.  Bring a picture(s) from a magazine, album, etc. and copy it onto your glass.  Draw with the engraver just as you would use a pencil.  Make your completed engraving into a finished piece with solder, a frame, or hang it!  Lots of fun!

Ages 18 and up
