Butter Dish Class

Celebrate with Mom in a unique way this Mothers Day by creating art! In this course we will combine textures and colored slips to create an original artsy butter dish. We will be using slab rolling techniques and templates to form our dishes. Once finished you will wow your guests with your own handmade functional artwork at the dinner table. 

Handbuilding Intensive: The Sculptural

In this six week course you will learn how to create sculptural ceramics utilizing handbuilding construction methods such as coil, slab and pinch.  We will discuss how to develop concepts and how to translate that into a three dimensional piece of art.

One box of clay is included in class cost.

Open to all learning levels

You will need to have a basic set of clay tools which can be bought from the ACA for $12

Double Charcuterie Trays

A cousin to the single tray we previously taught, bigger and able to accommodate more guests! Create your ownfestive display, food and serving trays all made by you! Make totally functional works with a soft introduction to the potters wheel inspired by live edge wood. Your visually appealing social events for friends and relatives will be the talk of the town!

Creating a Damp Box for associates and residence

Saturday 3/22/24 1pm-2:30pm

Are your pieces drying out? Did you make a handle and not have enough time to attach it? In this class we will create our own damp boxes for keeping greenware at a perfect leather hard consistency. We will be working with plaster to create a base for a container you will need to purchase and bring with you. Required: must bring your own sterilite bin or tupperware container. Plaster and instruction provided.
