Studio Visit: Pi Benio

Pi has maintained a studio on various locations on E Maumee since she arrived in town to teach at Adrian College, lets say, a while ago. Her work has been shown in a one person exhibition at the Detroit Institute of Art and also in New York, Chicago, Japan and Canada. A sculptor, Pi has worked in a dizzying array of materials and techniques. Her latest work uses driftwood in meticulous suspended structures inspired by the book The Hidden Life of Trees.
