In this class we will use Birch bark as inspiration for the texture of the ornaments. Using various shapes and curls to look like birch bark with texture and knots. Painting with slips, to add to the natural look and beauty of the bark. Unique and one of a kind type ornaments to be cherished for a long time. They will be finished with a clear glaze after being bisque fired. 

Textured Slab Built Ornaments

In this class you will use a variety of techniques to add texture to a slab or clay. We will then turn your textured clay into a set of beautiful  ornaments to keep or give as gifts. Your ornaments will be bisque fires, glazed, and ready for pick up approximately 2 weeks after class.
