Kids Summer Camp - Art Books

Monday, July 29th - Friday, August 2nd from 9 am - 12 pm

Ages 8-12 years old

For the kids who like art and writing, this week is filled with adventures in making books. Art will be created for book covers, pages, and embellishments inside the books. We will write in the form of very short stories, poems, or graphic novel-style pages. Participants will create a variety of small books from simple to more complex.  

Please send your child with a refillable water bottle and snack daily. Also, ACA's Youth Studio is on the lower level of a historic building with steps.

Enchanted Forest (5 sessions)

Monday, August 5th - Friday, August 9th, from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Ages:  6 - 11 years old

Join the ACA for an unforgettable journey into the heart of the mystical forest at our Enchanted Forest Art Camp! Designed for young artists with curious minds and creative spirits, this week-long adventure promises to ignite imagination, spark creativity, and foster a love for art inspired by the magic of nature. This camp will include paper mache, painting, tissue paper, and more! 

Please know that ACA's Youth Studio in on the lower level of a historic building with steps.

Throwing for Young Potters I (6 sessions)

Tuesdays, September 10th - October 15th, from 4:30p - 6:30p

Ages:  7-17 years old

Join ACA Ceramicists Christine Filipek & Erin Hoekzema with our weekly pottery sessions. Students will learn to hand-build & throw clay on the potter's wheel! Command your wheel & handbuild with instruction from our experienced clay artists. The session begins by learning to center clay on the wheel, throw bowls, vases, or anything you can imagine, and then finish by glazing your finished piece. This class is offered throughout the year and can be repeated, growing your skills each time. Be prepared to get a little messy; wear clothes & shoes you don't mind getting dirty.
