No Expectations: Clay Camp for Grownups 18+ with Erin Hoekzema

Monday June 8th to Thursday June 11th * 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Pots optional; Laughter Encouraged

This 4-day adult summer camp is not your typical pottery class.

We’ll throw on the wheel—but not always in the usual way you'd think. Expect tandem throwing, blindfold challenges, relay pots, unconventional setups (like throwing a pot on a mop bucket), and playful surface experiments like bubble decorating and mark-making. Some pieces will be collaborative, some will be altered beyond recognition, and some may be sacrificed entirely in the name of curiosity, experimentation and play.

This class is all about process over product. There’s no pressure to make perfect work—or even to keep everything you make. Instead, the focus is on exploration, experimentation, and rediscovering the joy of working with clay in a relaxed, supportive community environment.

Some wheel experience is recommended so everyone can jump right into the fun. Come ready to get messy, try new things, and embrace a little chaos.
