Step into the world of glass art with this beginner-friendly workshop! Students will learn how to wind molten glass onto a mandrel, shape it into a bead, and apply simple color and decorative elements. This hands-on experience is a wonderful way to try flameworking for the first time and is the perfect introduction before committing to a full session.

Block Printing on Fabric

Join us for a fun evening learning the art of block printing with local artist, Rachel Lambes. Rachel will lead us through the entire printmaking process including preparing, carving, and printing your own custom design. We will be carving linoleum blocks to print personalized tea towels, zipper pouches, or reusable shopping totes.

All required materials are included in the class tuition. Additional materials will be available to purchase during the workshop if you want to create multiple projects, but are completely optional. Feel free to bring your own materials (shirts, towels, totes, etc.) to print on if you wish. No experience is necessary to participate in this workshop.

Rachel Lambes, the artist behind Thistlefield LLC, is a native of Northwest Ohio, currently residing near Wauseon with her family. She holds a Master’s of Education and works as a professional artist and paralegal. Rachel serves on the gallery committee for the Adrian Center for the Arts.

Ages 12+

Please note the print studio is in a historic building with stairs.

The second class at Tecumseh’s Boulevard Market under the direction of Market owner Erika Alyward  you will learn about the art of arranging your trays with meats, cheeses, etc Your visually appealing social events for close friends and relatives will be the talk of the town!

All about Wool: Spinning, Felting and Natural Dyeing (4 weeks)

4 Tuesdays: November 10th & 17th (skip Nov 24 for holiday) and December 1st & 8th * 5:00pm - 7:00pm

Learn what an amazing fiber wool is! Beginning and continuing students who wish to grow totheir spinning skills are invited to join the class. Using vintage spinning wheels learn how to prepare wool, make thread, ply and yield yarn suitable for knitting and crocheting or other fiber arts. Washed and carded prepared wool will be provided. Short introductions about natural dyeing and felting will be interspersed.

Location: Taught at Tink and the Frog in downtown Adrian, 128 E Maumee
